Back in the 70’s, Tony Vasso began working for his father. He said, “Basically, I grew up in this industry. I worked at my father’s facility during my high school and college years in the shop and in the office.” By 1975, he was working full-time as a salesman at his father’s facility. After his father’s death, Tony decided to open his own business. He says the motivation was inherited.

“My father started his business from the ground up, so I started my business from the ground up.”

What does it take to succeed? “Long hours of work,” according to Tony. “I went from working in the shop to demonstrating trucks at night… with very little sleep.” He says nothing would have been possible without excellent excellent employees, top-quality manufacturers, and loyal customers.

“If it has anything to do with hydraulics, electric and steel, we can work with it.”

Today, President and owner of Vasso Waste Systems Inc. Tony Vasso has brought this organization to the forefront of waste management services.

“We built our business on service. We have a full service shop and inventory on basically everything we sell and competitive items.”

Our customer base stretches from Albany to Montauk Point, Long Island and includes Northern New Jersey - we sell to the private sector in the five boroughs and upstate New York, along with the municipalities in the suburbs and in Long Island.

Tony says it best: “I think we’re in the market where if you can make it in New York, you can make it anywhere.”
